Barbeque Cleaning Tips

If you want to keep your barbeque nice and in good working condition for many years to come, give it some TLC and clean it from time to time.  Here are a few product suggestions and other tips that will make your process easier.

For the outside of a stainless steel barbeque, our Stove Bright® Stainless Steel Cleaner (81Y001B16) works great. Shake the bottle well, spray on and let sit for a few minutes, then wipe clean with a clean, dry cloth. For difficult stains, multiple applications may be necessary. This product also works great on porcelain, ceramic, chrome and aluminum. For the outside of coated BBQ’s, we recommend the use of good old fashioned water and a clean cloth.

As for the grill, we recommend our Stove Bright ® BBQ Grill Cleaner (03Y010). Remove from BBQ and lay out on some plastic, spray thoroughly with grill cleaner and let sit for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Regular cleaning will make the process as simple as spray it on, wait, and rinse!  For less frequent cleanings with heavy burnt on deposits; a repeat of the process and/or mild agitation with a wire brush may be required.  Your grill will look as good as new!

Safety First!  Whenever using a chemical cleaner be sure to wear protective eyewear, waterproof gloves, and protective clothing.

And last but not least, please remember to always cover your BBQ when not in use to prevent oxidization, requiring you to repaint.

Thank you for visiting our blog. We appreciate your comments. TLC is an old acronym for “tender loving care”. Something we all too often forget to show our barbeques and other outdoor equipment.
