PRESS RELEASE – February 1st, 2014

Effective February 2014, Forrest Paint Co. will adopt a new logo along with the corporate brand identity FORREST Technical Coatings.  The sub-brand Forrest Paint will continue on in conjunction with the company’s architectural products and retail outlets.  “This rebranding reflects our commitment to development and support of advanced industrial products,” says company president Mark Forrest.  “We have a collaborative environment here where team members thrive working together to create innovative solutions.”  Founded in 1973, the company has developed a broad portfolio of coatings and other specialty products.  “While focusing, refreshing and modernizing our image; we maintained the three tree motif that has stood for Forrest Paint for the past four decades.  The continuity in the trees speaks to the fact that while we are innovating and focusing on the future, the core values of our family business remain unchanged.”

“Our focus is providing engineered finishes that add both aesthetic and functional value to manufactured products,” adds Forrest.  “Flexibility in our manufacturing process enables responsive and coordinated support for companies with multiple product needs; including liquid finishes, powder finishes and aerosol touchup.”  FORREST Technical Coatings is known worldwide for its Stove Bright® brand of heat resistant products.  Other brands include Firmfoot® skid resistant floor paints and Restore-X® deck products.  The company supplies customers in all 50 states and 36 foreign countries through a worldwide distribution network, and it has been recognized with export awards by both the Oregon Governor and the US Commerce Department.

FORREST Technical Coatings products include low-emissions technologies such as powder, UV curable and water-based coatings.  A 2010 finalist for the Eugene Chamber’s Environmental Values award, the company was a pioneering adopter of a biological system to “compost” air pollutants from its manufacturing operation.  The company also supported an initiative to create Oregon’s PaintCare recycling program that has become a model for other states.

C.E.O. Scott Forrest founded the company in 1973 and it entered its second generation of family leadership when his son Mark Forrest became president in 2008.

    Congrats on the new logo.
It is really great that even though they brought a new brand and logo their core is still the same. Being in the industrial powder coating industry I stand by what they have said about holding on to the values. I wish the team all the success.
