Paint Recycling

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

If you have purchased any paint within the last 3 years, you may have noticed a small fee attached to every container that was purchased. This “Oregon Mandated Recycle Fee” pays for a program called “PaintCare®”. PaintCare® allows you to take old, unused paint to a designated PaintCare® collection site and drop off your old paint.  This service is free of charge (the fee has already been paid). This program is designed to help aid in the proper disposal of paint. If you have old house paint (water or oil-based), deck coatings, lacquers, or many other coatings, take them to a designated collection site and drop them off. All containers for recycle must have liquid product in them, a lid that seals, and the original label still attached. Forrest Paint is proud to be among the growing list of collection sites.
